Giving Grove Planting Promise Keynote

On April 2, 2026, I joined The Giving Grove — a national leader in community-powered food systems with 700+ orchards across 17 cities — for their Planting Promise luncheon at The Abbott in Kansas City. In a conversation on where technology meets nature, I shared how emerging tools are helping cities build greener, healthier, more connected communities, and how the same principles behind The Giving Grove's orchard model — community ownership, resilience, food access — echo what I've seen work in urban nature projects around the world. The event opened with a walk through an indoor demonstration orchard designed by local students in partnership with Kansas City Community Gardens, and the evening before, I joined a smaller VIP Networking & Fireside Chat with event sponsors.
